About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. You will assist in delivering patient care, maintaining a safe work environment, and managing pharmacy workflows. This role offers the chance to gain professional experience while contributing to patient health outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and customers.
- Manage patient care programs to help improve health outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and effective work environment by following regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and using precision finger dexterity to handle pharmacy items.
- Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
