About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice while preparing for a future role as a pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap that includes Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) and hands-on activities. You will gain an overview of store, district, and regional operations while assisting the pharmacy team in delivering safe and efficient patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care when interacting with patients, including solving or escalating patient problems.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
- Maintain high levels of self-awareness and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture.
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Strong active listening skills to fully understand patient and colleague needs.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
- Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods, with the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

- Schedule: Part-time, including nights and weekends.
