About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team to improve health outcomes for patients.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to each patient and manage patient care programs.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve better health outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy professional practice and regulatory requirements.
- Perform tasks including patient safety, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
