Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic training to real-world pharmacy practice. Under the guidance of a preceptor and District Leader, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a Pharmacist role. This program focuses on store, district, and regional operations, with a strong emphasis on patient safety, quality assurance, and professional standards.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations through consistent application of standard operating procedures.
• Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and contact them to clarify orders or facilitate medication changes, as permitted by state regulation.
• Complete basic inventory activities, including putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
• Support pharmacy workflow procedures at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations.
• Offer patient counseling and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Contribute to a safe and inclusive team culture by sharing best practices and providing peer mentorship.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation. Failure to meet this requirement will result in separation of employment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel to other locations within the market as needed.
• Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, reach, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.
