About the role#
This Summer 2026 Pharmacy Intern position provides an opportunity to apply academic learning into real-world practice. Interns will follow a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining hands-on experience in pharmacy operations under the direction of a preceptor. This role is designed to prepare students for the responsibilities of a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, providing caring service, and solving patient problems.
- Maintain high levels of self-awareness and provide coaching or mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Support immunizations by completing required training and licensure, educating patients, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- A friendly demeanor and a proactive approach to helping patients and colleagues.
- Ability to pivot between tasks and maintain focus in a pharmacy environment.
