About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will play an active role in patient care, ensuring a safe and effective environment while gaining professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Support patient health through the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Maintain a safe and effective pharmacy work environment.
- Manage customer service needs and pharmacy inventory.
- Assist with workflow management and pharmacy professional practice tasks.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and reaching or bending to move items.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by state law.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
