About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice while preparing for a future role as a Pharmacist. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, and delivering patient-centered care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly and accurately.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Deliver patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law and supported by training.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members while sharing best practices.
- Maintain self-awareness and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and managing medication deliveries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
