About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice while preparing for a future role as a Pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to provide hands-on experience in pharmacy, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient service while developing your professional clinical skills.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, including prescription fulfillment.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at each workstation.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, where allowable by law and supported by training.
- Maintain focus and pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus to ensure safety and accuracy.
