About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap to gain experience in pharmacy operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while supporting the pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations or point-of-care testing, where allowable by law.
- Maintain inventory, including putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts.
- Communicate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes as permitted by regulation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail and focus to ensure prescription accuracy.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship with rolling start dates.
