Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

This is a part-time, paid Pharmacy Intern position for Summer 2026. You will apply your didactic pharmacy education to real-world practice, working under the direction of a preceptor to prepare for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist. This role involves completing a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences, to gain an overview of store, district, and regional operations.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations, demonstrating empathy and genuine care in all customer interactions.
• Support immunizations by educating patients, reviewing patient information, and monitoring for adverse reactions, as permitted by state law and required training.
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap and participate in activities with district leadership.
• Maintain inventory, perform cycle counts, and process returns.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including the availability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
