About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while focusing on patient care, quality assurance, and workflow management. This role involves direct interaction with patients, caregivers, and colleagues to support health outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional patient care and lead with empathy for patients and colleagues.
- Participate in patient care programs to help customers manage their health.
- Collaborate with the team to improve health outcomes and maintain pharmacy standards.
- Assist with inventory management, regulatory requirements, and pharmacy practice tasks.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 pounds, standing for extended periods, and using finger dexterity to handle pharmacy items.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
