Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide essential support within a retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering patient care, ensuring safety, and managing pharmacy operations to improve health outcomes. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
• Deliver exceptional care to patients and provide guidance on prescriptions and chronic condition management.
• Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Adopt and manage patient care programs.
• Assist with pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Possession of, or in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
