About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering patient care, modeling company values, and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations, including patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and workflow management.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to every patient and lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Seek new ways to grow and collaborate to deliver better health outcomes.
- Align others around the organizational purpose of promoting health.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Manage patient care programs and work toward providing patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing finger dexterity for typing and handling items.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or being in the process of obtaining, required intern or technician licensure.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and the specified timeframe.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
