As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and maintain a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering high-quality service, managing patient care programs, and collaborating with the pharmacy team to improve health outcomes. You will be expected to model empathy and compassion while contributing to the overall efficiency of pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional patient care and support under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
- Participate in and manage patient care programs to help customers maintain their health.
- Maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment, including inventory and workflow management.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to improve health outcomes and foster a positive, energetic team culture.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Complete all required training and obtain necessary state-mandated licensure within established timeframes.
- Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging items, and moving objects up to 20 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods and perform tasks requiring precision and finger dexterity.
- Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
