Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This position offers an opportunity to gain professional experience while contributing to patient care, pharmacy operations, and team collaboration. This is a part-time role.

What you'll do#

• Support patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide customer service and assist patients with health programs.
• Manage pharmacy inventory and workflow processes, excluding final prescription verification.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver care and improve health outcomes.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging items, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Maintain regular attendance, which may include nights and weekends.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods, with the dexterity required for precise pharmacy tasks.

• Location: Wyoming, Rhode Island.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Pay Range: $20.50 - $42.00 per hour.
