About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team in providing quality service to patients.
What you'll do#
- Support patient safety and pharmacy professional practice.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Assist with inventory management and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Facilitate a team culture focused on empathy, compassion, and collaboration.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
