Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment while gaining professional experience in a clinical setting. You will assist in managing patient care programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations.

What you'll do#

• Deliver care to patients by advising on prescriptions and managing chronic or specialty conditions.
• Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment through inventory management, workflow oversight, and quality assurance.
• Manage and adopt patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
• Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging items, and moving objects up to 20 lbs.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by state guidelines.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.

• Location: Staten Island, New York.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time with rolling availability.
• Compensation: $20.75 - $25.25 per hour.
