Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care within a retail pharmacy setting. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to a team culture that prioritizes empathy and high-quality service.

What you'll do#

• Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
• Adopt and manage patient care programs to support patient health.
• Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Perform tasks related to inventory management, workflow management, and quality assurance.
• Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state guidelines.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
