About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will assist in maintaining a safe environment while delivering care to patients. This role is a part-time position scheduled for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment by following regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy and enthusiasm.
- Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state guidelines.
- Assist with pharmacy tasks including inventory management and workflow management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
- Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
