Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on patient safety, quality assurance, and workflow management. You will play a key role in delivering care and helping patients manage chronic and specialty conditions.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to patients and manage patient care programs.
• Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy work environment.
• Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and using fine motor skills for scanning and typing.

What you'll need#

• Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
