About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the delivery of quality health care. This role focuses on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and the effective operation of a retail pharmacy. You will contribute to a team environment that prioritizes patient care, empathy, and professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Support patient health through the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Perform inventory and workflow management tasks, excluding final prescription verification.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical capability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
