Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to deliver patient care and support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, effective work environment while modeling compassionate care for patients and colleagues. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Support patient health through the adoption and management of patient care programs.
• Perform inventory and workflow management tasks, excluding final prescription verification.
• Foster a team culture centered on caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment remains safe and effective for all.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Maintain regular attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, reaching, lifting up to 20 lbs, and bending.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Possession of, or active progress toward, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to perform fine motor tasks such as typing and handling small items.
• Ability to communicate information clearly to customers and colleagues.

• Location: East Providence, Rhode Island.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Pay Range: $20.50 - $42.00 per hour.
