Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, effective environment while delivering high-quality care to patients. This position is designed for students to gain professional experience in a clinical setting while contributing to the company's commitment to accessible, quality health care.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to each patient while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
• Support the adoption and management of patient care programs to keep patients healthy.
• Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment by assisting with workflow, inventory, and quality assurance.
• Align team members around the company's purpose and promote a culture of collaboration and enthusiasm.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing finger dexterity for precise tasks.

What you'll need#

• Must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
