Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy workflows, and supporting regulatory and quality assurance standards. You will play an active part in the pharmacy team, modeling company values while helping patients manage their health.

What you'll do#

• Lead patient care programs and team culture by displaying empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Align team members around the company purpose to improve health outcomes.
• Facilitate a team environment characterized by caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Assist with inventory management, workflow oversight, and customer service tasks.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs and remaining mobile for extended periods.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.

• Location: Cary, North Carolina.
• Role Type: Part-time, on-site.
• Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
• Term: Rolling.
