Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on delivering patient care, maintaining a safe working environment, and contributing to a team culture that prioritizes patient health and service quality.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to each patient and manage patient care programs to support health outcomes.
• Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment while adhering to regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and the required timeframe.
• Assist with pharmacy professional practice, inventory management, and workflow management.
• Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging, and moving items, as well as maintaining mobility for extended periods.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Possession of, or the process of obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, reaching, and stooping.
