Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of a pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on delivering care to patients, ensuring a safe work environment, and supporting the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This is a part-time position with a pay range of $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to patients and provide support to caregivers.
• Ensure patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance within the pharmacy.
• Manage customer service, inventory, and workflow tasks.
• Adopt and manage patient care programs to help keep patients healthy.
• Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, customers, and colleagues.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
