Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering care to patients, managing workflows, and participating in patient care programs. This position focuses on professional growth and contributing to the pharmacy team's commitment to quality care.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to patients and demonstrate genuine compassion for customers and caregivers.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Participate in patient care programs and support inventory and workflow management.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and established timeframes.
• Assist with pharmacy operations, including scanning and bagging items, while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
