About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional care to patients and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations, including patient safety, inventory management, and workflow coordination.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to each patient and demonstrate genuine compassion for customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Participate in and manage patient care programs to keep patients healthy.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and established timeframes.
- Assist with pharmacy operations, including workflow management, inventory tasks, and customer service.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and close visual acuity.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
