About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. This role focuses on delivering patient care, ensuring a safe work environment, and contributing to a team culture centered on empathy and compassion.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the management of patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Support daily pharmacy operations, including inventory management, workflow coordination, and customer service.
- Maintain a safe and effective work environment while adhering to regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and professional collaboration.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or active pursuit of, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and reaching.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
