About the role#
The Student Marketer is a part-time, campus-based position responsible for supporting food service marketing initiatives. This role serves as a liaison between campus dining operations and students to increase engagement and promote dining programs. You will work approximately 10–12 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and update Instagram and other social media platforms with content related to campus food service initiatives, events, and special promotions.
- Create engaging posts, stories, and digital content to increase awareness and participation in dining programs.
- Host sample tables and promotional events to introduce students to new menu items, products, and dining experiences.
- Interact with students in a positive and professional manner to build excitement around campus dining offerings.
- Communicate regularly with the District Marketing Manager regarding upcoming marketing initiatives, campaigns, and promotional opportunities.
- Track marketing activities, gather student feedback, and provide updates on campaign performance to site leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program related to Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including comfort speaking to groups during events.
- Active user of social media platforms, particularly Instagram.
- Creative mindset with an interest in marketing and event promotion.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and remain organized and detail-oriented.
