About the role#
The Student Worker - Functional position involves maintaining facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment. This role supports the facility operations team in meeting client standards through consistent upkeep and adherence to safety protocols.
What you'll do#
- Clean and maintain assigned areas to meet company and client standards.
- Adhere to established safety procedures, including compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Manage the proper storage and disposal of trash by transporting it to designated areas.
- Maintain and clean housekeeping equipment.
- Secure the facility by ensuring buildings are locked or unlocked as required.
- Report maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel through work order requests.
- Protect company assets and maintain an orderly workspace.
What you'll need#
- Previous custodial experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling more than 50 lbs.
- Capability to handle physical demands such as bending, extended walking, and standing.
- Ability to follow safety procedures regarding physical risks and the handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Enrollment in fields such as Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Health Administration, or Human Resources.
