About the role#
The Student Worker - Functional position involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet company and client standards. This role focuses on ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment for others while managing facility maintenance and security tasks.
What you'll do#
- Clean and maintain assigned areas to meet customer and client satisfaction.
- Adhere to established safety procedures, including compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment to support the health and safety of others.
- Properly clean and maintain housekeeping equipment.
- Follow procedures for the storage and disposal of trash and transport it to designated areas.
- Report maintenance concerns via work order requests to the appropriate personnel.
- Secure the facility by ensuring buildings are locked or unlocked as required.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items greater than 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to exposure to hazardous chemicals and physical risks.
- Capacity to meet physical demands, including bending, extended walking, and standing.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Previous custodial experience is preferred.
