About the role#
The Student Worker Lead manages daily food operations at Viterbo University. You will supervise and train staff, ensure food quality, and maintain a safe, organized environment. This role requires flexibility to cover shifts as needed and support catering events.
What you'll do#
- Create work schedules and direct daily team activities.
- Oversee food production to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to menu specifications.
- Manage weekly inventory and prepare orders.
- Supervise, evaluate, and mentor other food service workers to improve efficiency and morale.
- Maintain equipment logs and perform preventative maintenance checks.
- Coordinate with staff regarding catering events and daily operations.
- Handle cashier duties and promote positive public relations.
- Work occasional night and weekend catered events.
- Assist the Food Service Director with additional tasks as requested.
What you'll need#
- Current student status at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Capability to resolve interpersonal situations and maintain emotional control under stress.
- Completion of a sanitation course either before or during your first year.
- Knowledge of operating an efficient, cost-effective program.
