About the role#
This position supports food service and catering operations on the Southeastern Louisiana University campus. It is an on-site, paid role with a rolling start date. We welcome students from majors including Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Communications, Nutrition, and Psychology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Serve food to customers and assist with their needs.
- Set up workstations, including service counters and prep tables.
- Clean and sanitize work areas after service.
- Replenish food stock to maintain appropriate levels.
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
