About the role#
This position is for a student food service worker and barista at Café 1789 for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, on-site, full-time role open to students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Communications, Psychology, or Nursing.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers.
- Assist customers with their orders and provide service.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all service areas.
- Follow established health and safety guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Prior experience in food preparation or barista roles.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a busy environment.
