About the role#
The Health and Wellness Ambassador serves as a campus advocate by promoting wellness initiatives and increasing the visibility of health resources within the Saint Joseph's University community. This role focuses on fostering a culture of well-being by raising awareness of nutrition topics and supporting campus dining events.
What you'll do#
- Assist with Dining Membership tabling events, including educating the community on meal plans and health topics.
- Set up, execute, and clean up health and wellness events, including cooking classes.
- Create marketing materials using Canva and assist in promoting initiatives through social media.
- Support food service tasks, such as hanging allergen signage and reviewing menu labeling for transparency.
- Complete all required training and follow established safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
What you'll need#
- Must be a currently enrolled Saint Joseph's University student.
- Preferred majors include Nutrition, Public Health, Health Administration, or Kinesiology.
- Strong communication, dependability, punctuality, and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide courteous service in a diverse environment and maintain professionalism during high-volume periods.
- Willingness to learn food-service procedures, point-of-sale systems, and safety requirements.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
