About the role#
The Health and Wellness Ambassador acts as a campus advocate by promoting wellness initiatives and events. You will help build a culture of well-being by increasing awareness of health resources and serving as a visible point of contact for the campus community.
What you'll do#
- Assist with Dining Membership tabling events and activities to educate students on meal plans and nutrition.
- Set up, execute, and clean up health and wellness events, including Take 15 sessions.
- Create menus for cooking classes and work on marketing projects using Canva.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote wellness topics on social media.
- Manage allergen signage and review food labels for ingredient transparency.
- Assist with general food service tasks and complete all required safety and operational training.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Saint Joseph's University.
- Preferred background in Nutrition, Public Health, Health Administration, or Kinesiology.
- Strong communication, organizational, and punctuality skills.
- Ability to provide professional service in a diverse environment and maintain focus during high-volume periods.
- Willingness to learn point-of-sale systems, food-service procedures, and safety requirements.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
