About the role#
As a Social Media Intern, you will work directly with our Social Media Manager and corporate marketing team to support the social strategy for our diverse portfolio of hospitality brands. This role offers hands-on experience in managing content for various properties, ranging from boutique hotels to private island resorts. You will gain exposure to multi-brand strategy and professional content workflows while building a portfolio of published work.
What you'll do#
- Support publishing efforts across the entire Mainsail portfolio.
- Build and maintain Facebook Events for hotel promotions and property initiatives.
- Post manual Instagram Stories and queue scheduled content.
- Identify and source user-generated content from guests to share across brand channels.
- Create and publish content for LinkedIn and Google Business Profile.
- Organize and maintain assets within our social scheduling platform.
- Assist the marketing team with daily tasks and contribute fresh ideas based on current trends.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, hospitality, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile.
- Strong written communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to distinct brand voices across different concepts.
- Previous experience in social media, marketing, or hospitality is a plus.
- Experience with Sprout Social or similar management platforms is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- You must be local to the Tampa Bay area to accommodate our hybrid work schedule.
- Occasional travel within Southwest Florida may be required for property support or events.
