About the role#
This is a paid, full-time student worker position for Summer 2026. The role focuses on food preparation, catering support, and customer service within a campus setting. While this role is open to students of all backgrounds, it may be of particular interest to Civil Engineering majors looking for summer employment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food items in accordance with established safety standards.
- Serve food to customers while anticipating their needs and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Replenish food items to ensure appropriate stock levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent service to guests and coworkers.
- Adhere to all safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated guest service skills.
- Ability to obtain or possess a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or Personal Protective Equipment as required.
