About the role#
This is an on-site student food service position at Rams Head Market in Chapel Hill. You will work as part of a team to prepare food and support daily operations on campus. This role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. You may be required to wear a uniform or personal protective equipment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations like prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and anticipate their needs.
- Keep food items stocked and replenished.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide helpful service to guests and coworkers.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies.
- Protect company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is helpful but not required.
