About the role#
This student worker position supports food service and catering operations on the Adams State University campus. The role is open to students, particularly those studying Nutrition, who want to gain hands-on experience in food preparation and customer service.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Serve food to customers and replenish items to keep stock at appropriate levels.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after service.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide helpful service to guests.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

- Compensation: $15.16 to $15.50 per hour.
