About the role#
This internship provides a hands-on look at culinary and pastry operations at The Sea Pines Resort. You will rotate through various dining outlets to experience different styles and offerings. The role covers the full scope of kitchen work, from food preparation to management techniques.
What you'll do#
- Complete company orientation to learn about resort standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Assist with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Rotate through multiple dining outlets to gain experience with diverse menus.
- Observe the coordination required for large-scale events, including golf tournaments and special functions.
- Learn the fundamentals of food production management, including staffing criteria and scheduling.
What you'll need#
- An interest in learning meal planning and production scheduling processes.
- A desire to master plate preparation and creative garnishing techniques.
- Ability to understand standardized recipes and portion control methods.
- Interest in local cuisine preparation.
- Willingness to learn how to calculate food costs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
