About the role#
This internship or externship provides hands-on experience in a hospitality, culinary, or pastry environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn operational aspects of the industry, including food preparation, service coordination, and event execution. What you'll do#
- Assist with daily food preparation, service operations, and meal presentation.
- Follow standard recipes and production charts to ensure consistency.
- Help manage inventory by tracking stock and maintaining proper storage.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations while following food safety standards.
- Work with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support service.
- Assist with banquet and catering setup and breakdown.
- Shadow chefs and managers to learn industry practices.
- Contribute to event planning and execution.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and educational workshops.
- Rotate through different roles to gain a broad understanding of the department.
- Observe and implement cost-effective strategies like waste reduction.
