About the role#
The Food and Beverage Internship at JW Marriott in Las Vegas offers a 16-week rotation program for hospitality students. You will work on-site at a luxury resort, gaining hands-on experience by rotating through various food and beverage outlets. This program includes specific activities and events for students to help you learn about resort operations and build a foundation for your career.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests, answer questions, and address concerns with a professional and courteous approach.
- Support daily meal service and help set up dining areas.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the outlets.
- Assist management teams with daily operations.
- Shadow hospitality professionals to learn operational strategies and best practices.
- Complete assigned projects and present your results to property management and staff.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree as a junior or senior.
- Must be at least 21 years old by the first day of the internship.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse guests and colleagues.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not provide sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain a valid Clark County Health Card, a Las Vegas Alcohol Awareness Card (TAM Card), and a Non-Gaming/Sheriff's Card if selected.
