Pastry Intern (The Hotel Hershey) Fall 2026

About the role#

This internship at The Hotel Hershey provides hands-on experience in a professional pastry environment. Interns rotate through various departments, including a la carte service, bulk production for banquets, banquet execution, and morning baker positions. Depending on interest and ability, there are opportunities to learn about wedding cakes, confections, and showpieces.

What you'll do#

• Prepare pastry products and stations in assigned areas.
• Ensure all food production meets The Hotel Hershey standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Follow the guidance of the Sous Chef and Pastry Cook I.
• Control waste and assist other areas as needed.

What you'll need#

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be currently enrolled in a Baking/Pastry Arts program or have graduated within the last 6 months.
• Must provide your own knives.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with the culinary team.

• Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania.
• Term: Fall 2027.
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: This is a paid position.
• Schedule: Flexible shifts are required, including weekends and holidays. This is a union position, and schedules are based on union seniority.
• Requirements: Candidates must provide their own slip-resistant, non-skid shoes. Housing may be available for a weekly fee of $160.
