About the role#
As a Student Worker for Food Service or Catering, you will support campus dining operations. This role focuses on food preparation, service, and maintaining safety standards. You will work directly with our team to serve guests and keep workstations clean.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations like prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Keep food items stocked and replenished.
- Store food according to established standards.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with guests, clients, and co-workers.
- Follow safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure company assets remain secure.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to handle physical requirements such as lifting, bending, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment when required.
