About the role#
This is a student worker position for Legacy Catering at Florida State University. You will assist our team with food preparation and service while building your customer service skills.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
- Serve food to guests and anticipate their needs to ensure satisfaction.
- Keep food items replenished and stocked to appropriate levels.
- Store food properly according to established standards.
- Maintain a positive demeanor toward guests, clients, and co-workers.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must have or be willing to acquire food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
