About the role#
This summer internship with Carolina Dining Services provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hospitality operations at the University of North Carolina. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position for the summer of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with customer service across various dining locations.
- Support food preparation and service tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Provide support for catering events as needed.
- Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at UNC.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a busy environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Previous customer service experience is considered an asset.
- Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Public Health, Nutrition, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
