About the role#
This summer internship with Carolina Dining Services offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hospitality and food service operations. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Chapel Hill for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with customer service across various dining locations.
- Support food preparation and service tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout work areas.
- Provide support for catering events as required.
- Engage with guests to help ensure a positive dining experience.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current UNC student.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Public Health, Nutrition, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Previous customer service experience is considered an asset.
