About the role#
This position is for a Student Food Service Worker at the Dockside Dining Hall located at Saint Mary's University. This is a paid, full-time summer 2026 role. Students from majors including Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources, Sociology, Public Health, Cybersecurity, and Psychology are encouraged to apply.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Serve food to customers while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Replenish and stock food items as needed.
- Follow all Aramark safety and sanitation policies.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and secure company assets.
What you'll need#
- Valid WHMIS and Food Safe certification (Basic or Advanced).
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Food service experience is helpful but not required.
- First Aid certification is an asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or Personal Protective Equipment as required.

- Pay: $17.50 per hour.
