About the role#
The Events Internship at Gracious Hospitality Management focuses on the operational, analytical, and administrative side of our Group Dining Sales and Events department. You will work directly with the Director of Events and the Events Manager to support our restaurant operations. This is a full-time, paid position based in New York.
What you'll do#
- Act as a primary liaison between the events team, our clients, and various vendors.
- Assist with event planning, financial analysis, and market research.
- Communicate event details effectively to our Operations and Culinary teams.
- Support the full event lifecycle, including setup, execution, client follow-up, and closing out files.
- Handle administrative tasks such as taking meeting minutes, scheduling appointments, and maintaining event calendars.
- Manage documentation by typing, formatting, and editing reports and presentations.
- Prepare event materials, including printing menus, place cards, and cocktail cards.
- Maintain databases, manage inventory for event supplies, and place orders as directed.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to communicate information clearly in writing and visually.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for managing internal and external correspondence.
- Advanced organizational, typing, and note-taking abilities.
- A solid understanding of the GHM brand, culture, and products.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required by the business.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or Operations Management.

- Schedule: Full-time with a rolling term.
- Physical requirements: Ability to remain mobile for up to 12 hours per day, lift up to 50 pounds, and frequently stand, walk, or use stairs.
