About the role#
As a Food and Beverage Intern at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, you will gain hands-on experience in restaurant operations. You will work alongside our F&B Manager and Supervisor to see how a dining outlet functions, from daily setup to busy dinner service. This internship is designed for students or recent graduates who want to build a career in the hospitality industry.
What you'll do#
- Support the management team during daily shifts and assist wherever needed when the dining room is busy.
- Greet guests, handle requests, and resolve concerns professionally.
- Learn essential shift routines, including setup, breakdown, cash handling, and securing the outlet.
- Track stock levels and supplies, assist with scheduling, and participate in department meetings.
- Learn about wine selections, proper wine service, and beverage programs.
- Maintain service standards, food and beverage presentation, and cleanliness while following safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a hospitality management, business administration, or related degree program, or graduation from one within the past year.
- A clear interest in pursuing a career in food and beverage.
- Ability to communicate clearly with guests, teammates, and managers.
- Capacity to stay steady and focused during busy service periods.
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to work well with everyone on the team.
- Openness to feedback and coaching.
- Comfort using basic computer tools.
Location & details#
- Location: Bandon, Oregon.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time, rolling term.
- Schedule: Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for up to five hours at a time, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally or 30 lbs frequently.
- Certification: Must obtain a Food Handler card and OLCC certification within the first 30 days of employment.
About Sand Valley
Sand Valley is a golf resort and community situated on 12,000 acres in central Wisconsin. Founded in 2016 by Michael and Chris Keiser, the property features five golf courses and a 16-court grass tennis facility. The resort provides year-round outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and ice hockey. It employs between 201 and 500 people.
