About the role#
As a Golf Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of our golf operations. You will work alongside PGA Professionals to support daily tasks, tournaments, retail, and practice facilities. This seasonal, full-time role runs from mid-April through mid-October and provides professional development opportunities that can count toward PGA Golf Management internship requirements.
What you'll do#
- Welcome guests and help them navigate their golf itinerary.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions and assist with inventory processes.
- Support guests by tagging and transporting golf bags and cleaning clubs.
- Manage daily practice range operations, including washing balls and operating the ball picker.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of tournaments and outings.
What you'll need#
- An interest in pursuing a career in golf or hospitality.
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds regularly.
- Current enrollment in or relevant background in Business Administration or Operations Management is helpful.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
About Sand Valley
Sand Valley is a golf resort and community situated on 12,000 acres in central Wisconsin. Founded in 2016 by Michael and Chris Keiser, the property features five golf courses and a 16-court grass tennis facility. The resort provides year-round outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and ice hockey. It employs between 201 and 500 people.
