About the role#
As a Fraud Prevention Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the team responsible for safeguarding Rockland Trust and its customers. You will work alongside fraud professionals to learn how data and risk analysis protect financial institutions. This role involves assisting with investigations, monitoring customer activity, and contributing to projects that support the security and integrity of the bank.
What you'll do#
- Assist with data entry and data quality assurance activities.
- Review customer activity and behavior patterns to support fraud monitoring.
- Enter and maintain risk factor information and supporting documentation.
- Support the organization and validation of fraud-related data and records.
- Ensure information is accurate, complete, and properly documented.
- Collaborate with team members on projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues and business partners.
- Gain exposure to fraud prevention strategies, investigative processes, and risk management practices.
- Participate in collaborative summer projects with fellow interns.
What you'll need#
- Rising Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
- Preferred fields include Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
- Interest in fraud prevention, investigations, risk management, or financial services.
