About the role#
This position supports food service and catering operations at Auburn University. It is a paid, on-site role for students interested in gaining experience in hospitality. We are open to students from various academic backgrounds, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, and Nutrition.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations like prep tables, service counters, and steam tables.
- Serve food to customers and assist with their needs.
- Store food items correctly to meet safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and helpful attitude toward guests and coworkers.
- Clean and sanitize workstations after use.
- Restock food items to ensure proper levels.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
