Student Worker - Barista - Purdue - Retail Dining

About the role#

This is a paid, on-site student worker position for the Summer 2026 term at Purdue University. You will serve as a barista within the retail dining operations, focusing on beverage preparation and customer engagement.

What you'll do#

• Prepare and serve coffee and a variety of other beverages to customers.
• Provide quality customer service to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service counter and dining area.
• Assist with the training of new staff members as needed.

What you'll need#

• A positive attitude and an interest in working with people.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Basic experience with cash handling.
• This role is open to students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or Nutrition.
