About the role#
The Student Worker - Functional position involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet client and customer satisfaction standards. This role focuses on upholding safety, health, and cleanliness requirements within the facility.
What you'll do#
- Clean and maintain assigned areas according to company and client standards.
- Adhere to established safety procedures, including compliance with OSHA and other local, state, and federal regulations.
- Properly maintain housekeeping equipment and manage the storage and disposal of trash.
- Secure the facility by ensuring buildings are locked or unlocked as required.
- Report maintenance concerns through work order requests.
- Protect company assets and maintain an orderly environment.
What you'll need#
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items greater than 50 lbs.
- Capability to perform extended walking, standing, bending, and pulling.
- Willingness to follow safety precautions related to physical risks and the handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Ability to wear required uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Previous custodial experience is preferred.
- This role is open to students majoring in Environmental Engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Criminal Justice.
