About the role#
The Student Worker - Functional position involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to meet client and customer satisfaction standards. This role focuses on ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment while adhering to company and regulatory procedures.
What you'll do#
- Clean and maintain assigned areas according to company and client standards.
- Follow established procedures for the storage and disposal of trash.
- Secure the facility by locking and unlocking buildings as required.
- Properly maintain and clean housekeeping equipment.
- Protect company assets and report maintenance concerns through work order requests.
- Comply with all OSHA, state, local, and federal safety regulations.
What you'll need#
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items greater than 50 lbs.
- Capability to meet physical demands including bending, extended walking, and standing.
- Ability to follow safety procedures regarding physical risks and the handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Willingness to wear required uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Previous custodial experience is preferred.
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Environmental Engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Criminal Justice.
